The dates for statutory holidays for the new year are here. Plan a vacation, meet up with friends/relatives, or do some important pending work on these holidays. For those staying or working in Canada, here is a list of Canadian statutory holidays.
Those in Prince Edward Island can plan something on Islander Day, since it falls on a Monday. For those of you in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, on Family Day, which falls on a Monday in 2018, you could plan a nice long weekend by renting a cottage and have fun skiing.
Victoria Day would mark the end of winter, and thus you could plan a lot of fun summer activities that open up during this time. Civic Holiday comes on a Monday, so those in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Nunavut can plan something substantial at that time.
Again, Labor Day falls on a Monday, and is a holiday in all the provinces, so that is another longer-than-normal weekend for everyone. Thanksgiving is also coming on a Monday, so an exciting family get-together can be organized on that weekend.
