The 4th of July is celebrated as the Independence Day of America. It was the day when United States of America adopted the Declaration of Independence on 4th of July 1776. The entire country celebrates the spirit of this historic day with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches and ceremonies. Celebrate this national holiday with some delicious 4th of July appetizers, which are easy to make and good to eat. The ingredients used in these recipes are easily available and making them takes less time too. So if you fall short of food ideas for the party, choosing recipes that can be quickly prepared is always a good option.

Bacon Cheese Deviled Eggs

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 bacon strips cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • On a chopping board, slice the boiled eggs lengthwise and remove the yolk without breaking the whites.
  • In another bowl, mash the egg yolks.
  • Mix the pepper, salt, bacon, mayonnaise, cheese and mustard with the mashed egg yolks.
  • Scoop this mixture and gently place it on the egg whites.
  • Refrigerate these eggs, so that you can serve them cold.
Clams' Dip

  • 1 can of minced clams
  • 1/2 a cup of softened cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of hot sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Drain out the clams and keep the liquid separately.
  • Mix the clams and the rest of the ingredients together.
  • With an electric blender, mix all these ingredients well. Keep adding some clams juice so the mixture becomes soft, instead of stiff.
  • Serve this dip cold with nachos.
Easy Chicken Salad Recipe

  • 2 large cooked boneless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 thinly sliced celery stalk
  • 1/2 a cup of mayonnaise
  • Pecans, sliced grapes, raisins and fruits of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chop the chicken breasts into dices. The size can vary, but preferably keep it small.
  • Now mix the diced chicken with remaining ingredients and serve it with bread.
Easy Chocolate Fondue

  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of butterscotch toppings
  • 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
  • Combine all the ingredients together and place them in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat them for 30 seconds and stir them till they reach a smooth texture and a thick consistency.
  • If the ingredients haven't melted to a desired consistency, then heat them once again and keep stirring.
  • Serve this fondue hot with some chilled fruits like berries.
Easy Grilled Shrimp

  • 25 medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • Skewers
  • Cashew nuts
  • Oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Preheat your grill as you prepare to cook.
  • Insert the skewers through the shrimp without breaking them.
  • Oil them from both the sides and season them with the ingredients.
  • Now place them on the preheated grill and cook till they turn light brown. It takes about 10-15 minutes. Cook till they become soft and can be easily broken with one hand.
Fried Buffalo Chicken Wontons

  • 3 cups of chopped, cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 1/2 cup of crystal hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of minced fresh garlic
  • 1/4 cup of softened cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of crumbled blue cheese
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Mix the chicken and garlic together in a bowl, add the hot sauce and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Next, add the cream cheese and blue cheese. Mix all the ingredients well and keep all them to refrigerate so that it gets well marinated.
  • Open up the wonton wrappers and scoop out small sizes of marinated chicken in the center.
  • Lightly brush the remaining part of the wonton with egg and bring all the edges together to seal it.
  • Deep-fry the wontons till they turn golden-brown. Drain out the oil and serve them hot.
These appetizers that can be made within minutes. To get them right, try them at home at least a week in advance.
