Anoka, Minnesota calls itself the “Halloween Capital of the World” and celebrates the holiday for an entire week which includes the Grand Day Parade, the Gray Ghost 5K Run and 1-mile Walk, pumpkin bake-offs, and several other competitions.
For some, Halloween is all about wearing intriguing costumes and going trick-or-treating with friends. All in all, it’s an eventful day that goes by pretty quickly and you end up with a ton of candy from your neighbors.
With All Hallows’ Eve approaching rapidly, a coloring contest will get the kids in celebratory mood and encourage them to paint in the right spirit. Printouts of Halloween themed characters like scary monsters, evil witches, ghosts, goblins, and Halloween pumpkins, could be handed over to contestants. Later you could use those pictures to decorate a room in the house for some spook-tacular fun. So, here’s to creating some happy Halloween times!
